Emily was born in Columbus, OH, but grew up in Kingston, MA. She recently graduated from Smith College where she majored in Biochemistry and Spanish. She did research in numerous basic science labs throughout her undergraduate career; completing her honors thesis during her senior year, studying the effects of cisplatin on DNA base pair opening rates, before deciding to explore clinical research after graduation. She is currently working as the lab coordinator and hopes to attend medical school in a couple of years. She enjoys synchronized swimming; long train rides via her commute (not really) and playing with her dog, Max!
