Kate grew up outside of Boston and graduated from Harvard University, where she concentrated in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology. As an undergraduate, she did research on a floral genus called Aquilegia. She joined the Waikar lab as a Clinical Research Coordinator to gain clinical research experience with the goal of eventually applying to medical school. When not at work, Kate enjoys running, doing jigsaw puzzles, playing the bassoon, and rooting for the Red Sox!
